I don't know if it was the setting in the south that spoke so clearly to my heart or maybe the pull on a mother's heart. But I really enjoyed watching this film. It made me reminisce to a time when I lived in a town of 300 and found wonder in the midst of a simple life.
It made me want to own a big piece of land and enjoy each sunset. It reminded me of this deep love that I now hold for my daughter. It amazes me that she has been in my life for two and a half years, but I have a deep well of love for her. A love that sometimes cannot be adequately described, but felt beyond the expanse of the horizon.
The story revolves around a girl who feels unloved. I know that there are many children that feel that way and this story truly takes you on a journey to remind us that blood may not bring us what we want. But life sometimes does. It comes in a different form. Bottom line: it makes me want to love more and have a retreat from the crazy busy life.
I can't say though I've found a new passion for bees. I have a friend who is endeared to them. I still hold a bit of fear and probably would get seriously stung. But this was an incredible film with a very big heart.

Intersection of Seasons.
The intersection of seasons. I was tooling around in my head about the trees that have blossomed on my street. One day white with blossoms then several days later metamorphosis into a full green tree. You see an intersection of seasons with the white leaving and the green appearing.
I personally have always been a fan of four distinct seasons. Of course, I currently reside in in an area where the winter hangs on for quite a rainy season which does make me appreciate the momentary glimpses of other seasons.
There is something about the bud, birth, burn and bare seasons. Bud is the spring, fresh, new dawn and new day that appears after an empty winter. Birth is the summer and the result of the pretty bloom washed by the rays of sun. Burn is the autumn and the brilliant end of harmonious moment. Bare is the winter and the clearing the path for everything to start all over.
I love that each season brings something new. It reminds me that in life we have seasons and that it is important to glean what you need and let go of what you don't. Shorts in the winter does not always work.

Chocolate, Boehms Chocolate
Boehms Chocolate. http://www.boehmscandies.com/ Specifically, their ice cream bars hand dipped in chocolate and covered with nuts. Oh, but it is much more than a spendiferous taste experience. Boehms offers a place to make a memory. A peaceful fountain nestles next to the candy shoppe surrounded by tall evergreens. It happens to be a beautiful setting to share your first chocolate lollipop.
